Summer Fabric Swap

Last fall I hosted my first fabric swap and I loved it! I was so pleased with how many people signed up and the positive comments made me want to do it again!

With many of us having to tighten our financial belts, I thought it would be great to get new fabric without having to spend anything (except postage). Plus, meeting new people in the process is an added bonus.

Like before, this an international swap. Who knows where you'll get fabric from? In the fall swap, we had people sign up from all over: New Zealand, Canada, all over the US, and Australia to name a few. So, without further ado, welcome to:

1st Annual Rhinestones & Telephones
Summer Fabric Swap

DATES:
Sign Up: 16 June to 30 June 2009
Mailing Deadline: 14 July 2009

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Beginning June 16th, please send me an email with the following info:
  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your blog address (you don't need to have one to join)
  • Fabric designers, collections, colours, patterns, eras (i.e. the 1950s, 1970s) that you LIKE and DISLIKE
  • What you like to sew
While there is no guarantee that you will get an international swap partner, please be willing to ship internationally.

**The swap will be closed at 11:59 p.m., 30 June 2009**

THE SWAP:
Your swap partner's information will be emailed to you by July 7th. If you don't hear from me, please check your bulk/junk/spam folders as your email may have sent mine there by mistake. You may need to add my email to your address book if that's happening.

Please send a total of ONE YARD (one metre) 100% cotton fabric to your partner by July 14th. You can make up your one yard/metre in a variety of ways:
  • 1 full yard/metre of fabric
  • 2 half yards/metres of fabric
  • 1 half yard/metre + 2 quarter yards / metres
  • 4 quarter yards/metres of fabric
Feel free to include any trims or notions that you think your swap partner might like.

EDIT:
A huge, huge thank you to the Girl Indie Blog and 5 Minutes for Mom for mentioning my swap! Thank you so much!
